"The Day Man Lost" was the first musical release of any kind ever in my life. It was recorded in a very small studio (Mark Musik) located in the basement at the home of the "producer". It was an 8-track recorder and equipped - not with a ordinary drumset - but with something as fascinating as digital drums!(?). Initially 4 songs were recorded, but in the end the decision was made to only focus the mixing on 3 of them. Once we were finished with it, a period of intense promotion began. Flyers were sent out by the thousand, letters written, packages wrapped and sent out more or less every day for let's say, maybe 3-4 months at least. We always saw to it that we had enough of these green custom stickers at home. This hard labour and devotion to spread our music also initialized the contacts with other bands in the same genre (Death Metal + Grind Core) which we had only more or less heard of by name; NIHILIST, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, GROTESQUE to name a few and of course many, many fanzines. Members: Jesper Larsson-drums, Johnny Dordevic-guitar, Michael Amott-guitar and Johan Axelsson-bass/vocals Songs: "Crime Against Humanity", "Aftermath" and "The Day Man Lost" Running Time: 4 mins and 38 seconds (!!) |
